Neil’s career spans over 35 years working in the Investment Management sector in a wide variety of roles working mostly for large institutions before moving on in 2022 to work as an independent consultant. Most recently he was involved in the integration of two large global asset managers ensuring the successful transfer of systems and data to a single unified global platform. Previously he served as the Global Head of Investment Performance Analytics at Abrdn. He has also held senior positions at several major international investment management companies including Baring Asset Management and Fidelity. Over the years Neil has worked in consultancy, training, and software design, all with a focus on performance, risk, reporting, and investment analytics.

Neil has served as a member of the Investment Association – Investment Performance Working Committee, the GIPS Investment Management sub-committee, and the UK Investment Performance Committee, of which he was chair.

Outside of investment management, Neil is involved in a number of IT start-ups and also devoted a large amount of his time to the third sector.
