Johnetta Carr

Johnetta Carr is an exoneree from Louisville, Kentucky. She spent four years in jails and prisons and served out nine years on parole for a crime that she did not commit. In 2019, she received a full pardon from Matt Bevin, the governor of Kentucky and the Kentucky Innocence Project. She advocates for the wrongfully convicted and works on legislation in Kentucky to help change laws to prevent wrongful convictions.
