Ginny Lefever

In 1988, Ginny Lefever's husband died from an acute drug overdose. Ginny, an RN, was convicted of aggravated murder and sentenced to life in prison. Her conviction was vacated, and she was released on November 22, 2010 when the toxicologist was found to have lied about his credentials in her case and others. Ginny earned a BS in nursing with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University in 2013. She attended South University Online, completing a capstone project on the incidence of PTSD in Exonerees and interviewing 250 men and women over a four-year period. She volunteers for several mentoring and nonprofit organizations and is a board member of the Life After Justice project.
