Kenneth Nixon
Kenneth Nixon is an exoneree from Michigan. He spent 15 years and 9 months in prison for a crime that he did not commit. He was convicted of two counts of felony murder, four counts of attempted murder and one count of arson. He was sentenced to two natural life sentences, plus 40-60 years in prison. He was exonerated on February 18, 2021. Since coming home, he has become an advocate for criminal justice reform. He taken on issues such as re-entry services, vital documents, bank accounts and housing. He is also the Chairman of the Organization of Exonerees, a group of dedicated men and women primarily from Michigan that are using their voices and platforms to directly address injustices.
