Khalil Rushdan is an exoneree who served close to 16 years of a life sentence, prior to his conviction being overturned as a result of prosecutorial misconduct and vindictiveness. Since his release, Khalil has become an advocate for compensation, reentry housing, and skilled-based career training that will empower individuals being released from prison.
