Marissa serves as Deputy Director for the Midwest Innocence Project. In her role, she leads development, marketing, and finance operations to ensure MIP has the resources it needs to carry out its mission. A change-agent, Marissa enjoys building programs from the ground up. She has used her problem-solving skills and love of learning throughout her non-profit career to create efficiencies and raise money for causes she is passionate about. A first-generation college graduate, Marissa is proud to hold two degrees from the University of Missouri, a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D., as well as an M.B.A. from Stephens College.
