Jessica Weinstock Paredes, Denise Foderaro Research Scholar, joined the Registry in 2019. She is a former Assistant Public Defender with over four years of collective experience in litigation and advocacy between the Miami Dade County Public Defender's Office and the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office. She litigated cases from inception to disposition, managing a high-volume caseload that allowed her to gain expertise in all aspects of criminal defense. She earned her B.A. from Florida State University, and her J.D. from Florida International University. Jessica reviews coding and edits summaries among a vast array of work that holds the Registry together.
