Tami Vance spent over a decade in prison in Mississippi for a no-crime wrongful conviction. In 2000, she was accused of assaulting her friend; the “proof” was bogus bite mark evidence, testimony by dentist Michael West, and the fact that Tami and her co-defendant were lesbians. Evidence hidden by the original prosecutor eventually proved their innocence. Tami continues to advocate for women in prison today. She lives in Louisiana and loves music and her mullet.
