Jake Richardson is an investigator at the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project. Jake graduated from Longwood University in 2014 and began serving Henrico County Police. In 2018, Jake joined the Petersburg Police where he served as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics/Gang Detective, and SWAT Team member. Jake participated in State and Federal operations to combat narcotic and firearm trafficking. As a part of the Crisis Response Team (SWAT), Jake assisted in the planning and execution of numerous high-risk operations combating gang and narcotic-related street violence. From 2020 – 2022 he was an Adjunct Instructor in Criminal Justice.
