As this conference has grown, we want to make sure that we retain the sense of close knit community that has existed since we started gathering over 20 years ago. As formerly incarcerated people ourselves, we understand how overwhelming it can be when one is newly freed or exonerated, and the emotions that come up when folks attend this conference for the first time. This orientation is designed to be a welcoming experience for first time attendees, and help ease the transition to joining this remarkable conference and community.
