David Gurney is an Assistant Professor of Law and Society and Director of the Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) Center at Ramapo College, where he works to expand the use of IGG in wrongful convictions. He is President of the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Accreditation Board, which is developing professional and ethical standards for IGG practitioners. Prior to his role at Ramapo, David was a Fellow at the Wrongful Conviction Clinic at the University of Arizona, where he worked on cases involving intensive, on-the-ground investigation, as well as DNA cases. He maintains law licenses in Arizona and New Jersey and continues to consult on wrongful conviction cases.
