Richard Horton was wrongly incarcerated for 16 years for a violent robbery and home invasion that he did not commit. In January 2022, Richard was freed by the Ohio Innocence Project. Richard notes that this is his and his wife Janette’s second time being married to each other. Richard is from Columbus, Ohio. He is currently working with Local 423 Laborers’ Union and owns a small delivery company. In 2024, Richard is looking forward to booking more speaking engagements where he can use his story to motivate and teach the next generation of allies. In his free time Richard enjoys going to the gym.
