Jamie Lau is a Clinical Professor of Law, Supervising Attorney for the Wrongful Convictions Clinic, Deputy Director of the Center for Criminal Justice and Professional Responsibility, Faculty Adviser to the Innocence Project, and founder of the Clemency Project at Duke University School of Law. Jamie co-teaches a seminar on wrongful convictions and pre-trial criminal litigation. Jamie's law practice includes representing incarcerated people asserting innocence in state and federal court. He has played a role in several exonerations, including successfully arguing Duke Clinic client Ronnie Long's successive habeas petition to the Fourth Circuit (en banc) under the heightened clear and convincing standard of actual innocence under 28 USC 2244(b)(2)(B)(ii).
