Kenneth Nixon is an exoneree from Michigan. He spent 15 years and 9 months in prison for two counts of felony murder, four counts of attempted murder, and one count of arson. He was sentenced to two natural life terms, plus 40-60 years in prison. Kenneth was exonerated on February 18, 2021. Since his release from prison, Kenneth has proven to be a skilled problem-solver and coalition-builder. As President of the Organization of Exonerees, he has worked with both government and private businesses to remove barriers formerly incarcerated people face when they come home. He worked with the state of Michigan to help people obtain state-issued IDs, for example, and with top leadership at Huntington Bank to help them gain access to bank accounts.
