Jessica Salerno, PhD, is a social psychologist and an Associate Professor of Psychology at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on applying psychological science to combat bias and miscarriages of justice in the criminal justice system. She has a grant from the National Science Foundation to study linguistic and behavioral predictors of suspicion generated from 911 calls. Her research has been published in or covered by top academic journals, law reviews, and news outlets. She is the recipient of several research awards, such as the Association for Psychological Science's Rising Star Award and the American Psychology-Law Society's Early Career Award.
