Nilam Sanghvi is the Legal Director of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and oversees all of the Project’s investigation, litigation, and policy work. Before joining the Project, Nilam was a Supervising Attorney and Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Georgetown University Law Center Appellate Litigation Program and worked at law firms in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. Nilam teaches Appellate Advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. She is the Secretary of the Third Circuit Bar Association, a member of the Innocence Network’s Executive Board, and a co-founder of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s Board Observer Program. Nilam clerked in the Eastern District of California for the Honorable William B. Shubb and on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro.
