Tara Thompson is a Senior Staff Attorney at the Exoneration Project. In her 17 years as a post-conviction attorney, she has worked on cases in both state and federal court, and has led teams at evidentiary hearings, retrials, and on appeal. Her practice is also informed by extensive trial and litigation experience on civil rights cases. She is a past member of the Innocence Network Executive Board, and is the Co-Chair of the Network’s Ethics and Best Practices Committee.
