Gregory D. Torain currently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and manages system integrity and access to justice efforts, including wrongful conviction and right to counsel efforts. Prior to that, he was a Policy Advisor overseeing treatment court programs, including increasing access to programs for persons of color. Prior to working at BJA, Mr. Torain served as a State Project Officer for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse and Prevention (CSAP) and also worked locally on issues including disproportionate minority contact in juvenile justice systems.
