This workshop will cover all things relating to federal habeas corpus. While we intend to have something useful for litigators of all experience levels, we will begin with fundamentals, so new federal habeas litigators are welcome. We will start with an overview of the basics before tackling some intricacies of federal habeas corpus. Panelists will speak of their own experiences in handling complex issues in federal habeas corpus, but we will also welcome questions from attendees throughout so that we can work as a group to provide answers for litigation that attendees are engaged in. We hope to make the usually dense/complicated world of federal habeas corpus more accessible and less scary to all because, as difficult a path as federal habeas can be, it remains an important avenue with which all innocence litigators should be at least somewhat comfortable.
