Gregory D. Torain is a senior policy advisor at the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and manages policies on wrongful convictions, system integrity, and the right to counsel. He previously served as a policy advisor managing BJA’s Treatment Court program. Prior to BJA, he served as a public health advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), managing specialty court grants. Before that, he served as the director of grant programs for Anne Arundel County managing federal and state grants. Before working in local government, he served as a family therapist for Baltimore City Juvenile Drug Court Program.
