Joe Diaz was wrongfully convicted for nine years in California, yet it took him 19 more to clear his name. After suffering from complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), traditional therapies weren't working. He began to find hope and healing in restorative justice work. However, during the pandemic his youngest son committed suicide. This loss was harder on Joe than the wrongful conviction, and he turned to alcohol to cope. With the help of ayahuasca and psilocybin, Joe has found calmness for the first time in his life.
