Jerome Kennedy was admitted to Canada’s Newfoundland Bar in 1985 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 2005. Jerome was a criminal lawyer and represented many individuals charged with murder and other serious offenses and argued numerous appeals in the Supreme Court of Canada. He held various senior Cabinet posts in the Newfoundland and Labrador government between 2007-2013, including minister of justice and attorney general. In 2013 he returned to practice with the law firm of Roebothan McKay Marshall. He is on the Board of Directors of Innocence Canada and has served as chair of the Case Review Committee since 2016.
