Dr. Jason Anderson is a Congenital Interventional Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic with over 10 years of experience caring for pediatric and adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) patients. He serves as a Consultant in the Divisions of Pediatric Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. A graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School, Dr. Anderson completed his Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic, followed by a Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. As Medical Director of the Todd and Karen Wanek Program for HLHS, he leads a large animal research lab that has pioneered novel discoveries in cardiac catheterization, developed a structured ECMO cannulation training program supported by HeartWorks, and created an advanced organ care system for prolonged heart viability. Dr. Anderson is also CEO of TruFlow, leading the development of a dedicated sub-pulmonic pump for Fontan physiology. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as Program Director for the Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, training fellows from diverse backgrounds. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and multiple book chapters, contributing significantly to education, research, and innovation in congenital heart disease care.
