Zoar Engelman

Zoar Engelman, PhD is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and biomedical engineer with a proven track record of success in translating innovative medical devices from concept to commercialization. Zoar currently serves as both Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Deerfield Catalyst, and Partner and Chief Science Officer of Coridea. 

Zoar is widely recognized for his expertise in developing impactful medical devices and has been influential in advancing breakthrough therapies and technologies in a variety of medical domains, including electrophysiology, neuromodulation, chronic cardiovascular diseases, chronic lung disease, lung cancer and sleep apnea.

Since 2011, Zoar has co-founded 9 different ventures, and been instrumental in raising over $150 million in funding. In addition, Zoar has secured nearly a dozen NIH grants totaling over $16 million to support early-stage medical device development initiatives.
