Over the last 20 years, credit union leaders across the country have leveraged the 501(c)(3) affiliate structure to raise public, private, and philanthropic resources to deepen their organizations’ impact and sustainability – all while staying in the good graces of regulators.

In this session, attendees will hear case studies from three MDI credit unions that expound on why the 501(c)(3) status was established, how to structure it, and innovative uses of the 501(c)(3) status to advance financial inclusion.
