Brian Gilmore is a Director at Commonwealth, a national nonprofit building opportunities for financial security and wealth for all. He leads a team dedicated to accelerating the adoption of financial innovations to address challenges faced by people living on low- and moderate-income. Brian works to scale these innovations through partnerships with the financial services industry, policymakers, employers, and nonprofits, with the goal of making wealth possible for everyone. Commonwealth’s efforts have spawned new financial products and policies responsible for helping millions of people save billions of dollars. Prior to Commonwealth, Brian spent a decade at forward-thinking organizations tackling a variety of social challenges including access to public benefits, youth education, and financial security. He has Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Drexel University.
