Montrell Carmouche is the Senior Advisor Quality Care Innovator at Operation Restoration, which supports women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives, and discover new possibilities. She is a member of the National Bail Fund Network and the Louisiana Incarcerated Women's Task Force and in 2021 was named one of the inaugural Justice Fellows for The Education Trust. She was awarded the 2022 Black Voices for Black Justice Award. She is one of two formerly incarcerated women registered as lobbyists in Louisiana and the founder and CEO of Montrell Carmouche, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in program design, facilitation, and civic engagement.
