Public relations firm and Innocence Network partner Slowey McManus Communications will conduct a media training seminar for freed and exonerated persons and their family members on how to effectively communicate with the media, touching on message development, interview techniques, presentation skills, and more. Exonerees and advocates will join Dom Slowey and Britt Murphy to talk about how to use your voice in the media, considerations you want to weigh when deciding to take an interview, how to maintain control over the narrative, sticking to talking points, and more. This session will be followed up with individual slots – available throughout the day – for freed and exonerated persons and family members to meet with Slowey McManus for 1:1 coaching and mock interviews.
