Name
Let's Talk Relationships
Description

Years of feeling isolated from a loved one or romantic relationship possibilities can leave freed and exonerated people asking themselves how to start and remain in loving, long-term relationships. Three freed people and their partners who have dealt with these issues will talk about what has helped them (and what has not), give advice, and offer constructive lessons on how to trust, love, and live with a partner after long-term wrongful incarceration. Topics will include developing trust, communication styles, learning to co-habitat again, sharing traumatic experiences, finding common interests, and overcoming toxic emotional barriers developed in prison. There will be significant question time included, as well as the opportunity for a follow-up conversation.
