Name
Establishing a Healthy Organizational Culture through Staff Engagement
Description

Organizational culture can be described as consistent, observable behaviors in the workplace. Culture can impact how teams interact, how leaders treat staff, how board and staff interact, and most importantly, how the organization interacts with and responds to donors, partners, and clients. A toxic workplace culture can emerge when a mission is not clear, when organizational values are not established or are unclear, and when staff voice and feedback is absent. This session will discuss processes to drive a healthy organizational culture. Three Network leaders will share how they are developing internal systems that clarify organizational expectations, in deep collaboration with staff. When staff help drive the process of establishing strategic goals and objectives, a set of organizational values, and inform an ongoing system for gathering and implementing staff feedback, an organization's culture is more likely to inspire productivity, respect, and service excellence.
