Marvin Cotton Jr., a Detroit native, is a justice reform advocate, business owner, and vice president of the Organization of Exonerees. Wrongfully convicted, Marvin spent 19 years in prison before his exoneration, giving him a unique perspective on improving the justice system. As a community engagement specialist, mentor, and community violence interrupter, he works to create positive change in Michigan. Marvin is also an award-winning author, motivational speaker, and founder of Better Not Broken, LLC, embodying resilience and inspiring others to overcome adversity while advancing justice reform nationwide.
