Radha Natarajan, executive director of the New England Innocence Project, is committed to fighting for freedom alongside the people and communities harmed by the criminal legal system. A daughter of immigrants, Radha recognizes the intersectionality of movements for liberation and looks for opportunities to challenge the systems that keep people from thriving. Radha uses litigation and organizing strategies to confront biases that lead to injustice, including efforts to prevent and correct wrongful convictions caused by eyewitness misidentification, tunnel vision by investigators, and flawed forensic science. She started her legal career at the Roxbury Defenders and served as a public defender for 12 years.
