Jabbar Collins is a commissioner of the New York City Commission to Combat Police Corruption, a former adjunct professor at St. John's Law School, and president of Horizon Research Services, a consulting company for appellate, civil rights, and criminal defense attorneys. In 1994 he was wrongfully convicted and spent 16 years in prison until he was exonerated in 2010, chiefly through his own legal work. His work and advocacy since then has led to the exoneration of five other men and was instrumental in New York establishing the nation's first commission on prosecutorial conduct.
