Kate Flexter is an attorney at the Ohio Innocence Project (OIP), where she litigates post-conviction innocence claims, supervises law student teams, and contributes to OIP's education and engagement efforts. Kate's innocence work began as a law student with the Michigan Innocence Clinic, where she assisted in litigation efforts that led to the exoneration of a woman who was wrongfully convicted of the murder of her child. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kate had a career as an on-air reporter for local television stations. Kate is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the University of Michigan Law School.
