Elizabeth Ramirez was one of four women, known as The San Antonio Four, who were wrongfully convicted of the sexual assault of two underage girls. She was convicted in 1997 and sentenced to 37.5 years in prison. Her son, Hector, was two years old when she entered the Hobby Prison Unit. Elizabeth was finally exonerated in 2016, when the court declared her and her three co-defendants factually innocent.
