Lauren Staley is an attorney at the Ohio Innocence Project, where she litigates post-conviction claims, assists in teaching, supervises research efforts, and supports development initiatives. Previously, Lauren served as trial counsel for the Hamilton County Public Defender's Office in Cincinnati, Ohio, representing people charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. She also gained extensive appellate experience working as a judicial attorney at the Ohio Supreme Court and Ohio's First District Court of Appeals. In 2024, Lauren was appointed to the Ohio Public Defender Commission. She is a graduate of Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
