Kristine Bunch spent more than 17 years behind bars after being wrongfully convicted in the death of her three-year-old son Anthony in 1996. Now, she is an advocate for the wrongfully convicted and the exonerated alike. Recognizing the profound challenges that accompany exoneration, Kristine has dedicated herself to easing the burdens of fellow exonerees, tirelessly working to provide them with access to essential resources and support networks vital for rebuilding their lives. Kristine serves as the speakers bureau coordinator for the Illinois Innocence Project's wrongful conviction training program and has helped train hundreds of police officers in Illinois on the issue of wrongful conviction.
