Setting Boundaries, Sustaining Advocacy: A Path to Balance in Innocence Work
Description

In response to valuable feedback from last year's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) sessions at the conference, the DEI Committee and Secondary Trauma Working Group have teamed up to develop a Boundaries Guide to support healthy, equitable relationships across all levels of innocence work. Recognizing that boundaries are essential for professionalism, well-being, and integrity, this guide remains a work in progress – intended to grow with input from those it aims to serve. This session will feature an interactive workshop, inviting Network members to engage in open dialogue about the guide's contents. By gathering insights on the boundary issues most meaningful to participants, we hope to refine and shape this resource into a truly practical tool for sustaining advocacy. The workshop hosts will also provide science-based research and resources on boundary-setting, offering practical tools attendees can apply immediately, even as the guide remains in development.
